The website gives you information about the group of Asian teachers and educators who have been meeting once a year for the past 4 years  The series of workshops began in Bangkok in 2003.  Since then there have been workshops in Melaka (2004) and Fuzhou (2005).  In November 2006, we shall be running our fourth workshop in Hanoi.  As you can see from the bio-data section of the website, our members are drawn from a wide range of countries in Asia.

The objective of the group, which is not sponsored by any single institution but operates on an entirely voluntary basis, is to produce original stories and poems in English which can be used in the teaching of English in Asian countries.  Because the writers are from the region, we believe they have a better intuitive grasp of what will appeal to young readers in that region.

So far we have been most fortunate in obtaining sponsorship from Pearson Educatiuon (Malaysia)  who have also published 5 volumes of stories and poems produced by the group.
